The Ubiquiti UniFi Switch Pro 48 PoE is a high-performance Layer 3 managed switch designed for enterprise networks, campuses, and high-density deployments where PoE power, bandwidth, and scalability are critical. It offers 48 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports, including 40 PoE+ ports and 8 PoE++ ports, each supporting 1G/100M/10M speeds, enabling reliable connectivity for wireless access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones, and professional AV devices. For high-speed aggregation, the switch includes four 10G SFP+ ports that support both 10G and 1G fiber modules, providing low-latency uplinks to servers, core switches, or storage systems. Housed in a 1U rack-mountable chassis, the USW-Pro-48-POE fits standard racks with depths from 400 to 1200 mm, making it simple to integrate into existing data center or telecommunication setups. A 1.3-inch touchscreen LCM display provides instant local monitoring of device status, port activity, and PoE usage, allowing administrators to quickly verify operational parameters on site. With a total PoE budget of 600W, each port delivering up to 64W (PoE++), the switch can simultaneously power a large number of devices without additional power injectors. The USW-Pro-48-POE delivers enterprise-class performance with a switching capacity of 176 Gbps, total non-blocking throughput of 88 Gbps, and forwarding rate of 131 Mpps, enabling seamless full-speed communication across all ports. Its 16,000-entry MAC address table and 4 MB packet buffer ensure stable handling of large numbers of connected devices and sudden traffic bursts. Layer 3 capabilities include a local DHCP server, DHCP relay, inter-VLAN routing, and static routing. The L3 table supports 4,000 ARP entries and 1,000 IPv4 routes, allowing efficient internal traffic distribution without relying on external routers. Access control is enforced via IPv4 ACLs and MAC-based ACLs, with 128 rules available for each type.

Layer 2 features include LACP port aggregation, STP/RSTP, DSCP-based QoS, and advanced IGMP configuration with snooping, querier, fast leave, and router port support. The switch also supports Pro AV profiles for Dante, NDI, Q-SYS, SDVoE, Shure, AES67, Crestron, and other professional audio/video workflows, ensuring reliable multicast traffic handling and low latency in media networks. The USW-Pro-48-POE is powered by a built-in 660W AC/DC supply, with a maximum device consumption of 60W excluding PoE. Each port delivers PoE, PoE+, or PoE++, supporting up to 64W, with a total PoE budget of 600W. Power is supplied via universal 100–240V AC input and can be backed up using a USP RPS DC input, ensuring uninterrupted operation in critical environments.Heat dissipation is 204.7 BTU/hr, allowing straightforward planning of rack cooling even when multiple units are stacked. The SGCC steel chassis provides durability and mechanical reliability, while the rack-mount hardware ensures stable installation. The device operates reliably at temperatures from −5 to 40°C and 10–90% relative humidity without condensation.

The USW-Pro-48-POE includes a 1.3-inch touchscreen for quick local monitoring and is managed via Ethernet through the UniFi Network application, version 5.10.5 or later, for centralized configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates. The USW-Pro-48-POE includes advanced protection and compliance features to ensure safe and reliable operation in demanding environments. The switch is equipped with enhanced ESD protection, capable of withstanding up to ±16 kV from air discharges and ±12 kV from direct contact, which safeguards sensitive electronic components during installation, maintenance, or when connecting network cables. It also meets NDAA requirements and holds internationally recognized certifications, including CE, FCC, IC, and Anatel, confirming compliance with safety, electromagnetic compatibility, and operational standards.
