The MikroTik netPower 16P is an advanced outdoor switch designed for effortless management of extensive network deployments. Featuring 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE-out capabilities, this device simplifies the powering of multiple access points or IP cameras. This unit boasts a robust 32-bit ARM architecture with a 98DX226S one core CPU, running at a nominal frequency of 800 MHz and covered with 256 MB of RAM, ensuring efficient data processing across network traffic. As a result, this switch boasts a non-blocking throughput of 36 Gbps, a switching capacity of 72 Gbps, and a forwarding rate of 53.6 Mpps. Such specifications ensure smooth and efficient data handling, making the netPower 16P suitable for complex network setups that require robust performance and minimal latency.
Robust Outdoor Enclosure
Built to withstand the challenges of diverse environmental conditions, the netPower 16P's sturdy and compact outdoor enclosure can be installed in a variety of settings. Whether it's damp attics, industrial shafts, or exposed outdoor locations like towers and masts, this switch ensures reliability and durability, providing reliable operation in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C. Its passive cooling system ensures that the device maintains optimal performance without the need for active cooling, reducing maintenance needs and enhancing its durability even more. It can be easily mounted using hose clamps, offering flexibility in installation. Moreover, with its IP54 rating, the netPower 16P is certified for dust and water resistance, ensuring continued operation in less-than-ideal conditions. Additionally, it adheres to CE, EAC, and ROHS standards, emphasizing its safety and environmental compliance.
Flexible Powering Options
Unlike other switches, the netPower 16P does not include an onboard voltage converter, giving users the flexibility to use external power sources that match their specific needs. It supports both 24V and 48V DC inputs through separate power supplies, allowing for customized PoE output—24V for standard devices and 48V for high-power demands like IEEE 802.3 at/af devices. Despite its high capacity, the netPower 16P maintains energy efficiency with a maximum power consumption of 316 W when fully utilized, dropping to just 16 W without attachments.
Please note, a power supply is NOT included with the product. Users are encouraged to utilize their preferred power options, including battery packs or compatible MikroTik power supplies such as 24HPOW, MTP250-53V47-OD, MTP250-26V94-OD, 48POW, and 48V2A96W.
Advanced Monitoring and Management
Users can choose between MikroTik’s RouterOS and SwitchOS, depending on their specific network management needs, with a RouterOS license level 5 enabling advanced configurations and features.
