The RG-NBR6120-E is a high-performance cloud managed security router designed to combine several network services in one rack-mounted device. It brings together firewall functions, network behavior audit, IPS, and integrated wireless AC capabilities, allowing the router to serve as a central gateway for business environments that need routing, security, and access point management from a single platform. With 500 Mbps throughput and a recommended capacity of 200 clients, it is positioned for networks that require stable gateway performance, policy control, and centralized administration without separating every service into a different appliance.

Its physical connectivity includes a dedicated Gigabit WAN port, a dedicated Gigabit LAN port, and three Gigabit LAN/WAN switchable ports, giving administrators flexibility when assigning links to internal networks or internet access. The router supports PPPoE client, DHCP client, and static IP access modes, with automatic access mode identification and WAN address collision avoidance to simplify deployment. VLAN, IPv6, SNMP, port isolation, and port mirroring support structured network design and operational visibility. The 1U 19-inch rack-mount format fits standard equipment racks, while operation from −5 °C to 45 °C supports deployment in typical business network rooms.

The RG-NBR6120-E provides management and security tools for controlling users, applications, wireless access, and remote connectivity. Behavior management includes app blocking with time- and IP-based policies, website filtering, and blacklist or whitelist control, helping administrators define how users access network resources. Application identification and application priority support more precise traffic handling, while user flow control policies, IP-based automatic bandwidth assignment, and VPN flow control help organize available bandwidth according to network needs. System logs, log storage, and fault diagnosis give administrators practical tools for troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.

Remote and multi-site connectivity is supported through L2TP, PPTP, and IPsec VPN functions, with routing options such as static routing, RIP/RIPng, OSPFv2, equal-cost multi-path routing, policy-based routing, active/standby port switchover, and WAN load balancing. The router also supports PPPoE server, DHCP server, DHCP snooping, DNS services, FTP, TFTP, Cloud DNS, NAT, ACL, and time-based extended ACL. Ruijie Cloud and app management provide cloud-based administration, upgrades, restarts, and remote maintenance, while authentication options include portal, password, voucher, and SMS authentication. The integrated AC mode can manage access points, supporting centralized wireless control from the same gateway platform.
