The Ubiquiti Dream Machine Beast (UDM-Beast) is a hyperscale-class Cloud Gateway designed for demanding enterprise and large-scale networking environments. Combining advanced routing, security, and full UniFi application support in a single rack-mounted system, it delivers powerful centralized network management for complex deployments. The UDM-Beast supports the complete UniFi Application Suite, including Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect, allowing businesses to manage multiple infrastructure services from one platform. Built for high-density environments, the gateway supports more than 7,500 simultaneously connected users and can manage over 750 UniFi devices. It also supports up to 200 UniFi Access Hubs and large-scale video deployments with support for up to 100 HD cameras, 60 2K cameras, or 40 4K cameras.

The system features up to eight WAN ports for flexible connectivity and traffic distribution, including default WAN ports with 25G SFP28 and 10 GbE RJ45 connectivity. The extensive port configuration includes eight 10 GbE RJ45 ports, two 10G SFP+ ports, two 25G SFP28 ports, and two 1 GbE RJ45 ports, supporting high-speed network aggregation and scalable infrastructure expansion. Engineered to support high-performance secure networking, the system provides up to 25 Gbps IDS/IPS throughput, enabling deep traffic inspection and threat prevention without compromising network speed. The integrated stateful firewall, application-aware Layer 7 firewall, and DPI traffic identification features help administrators monitor and control network activity with precision. Advanced zone-based firewall filtering allows traffic management based on regions, domains, and applications, while built-in content filtering and ad blocking provide additional control over network usage and online security. The system includes more than 55,000 IDS/IPS signatures with CyberSecure support, helping protect networks against evolving cyber threats.

For business continuity and reliability, the Dream Machine Beast supports Shadow Mode (VRRP) gateway failover and DC power backup capabilities. The integrated SD-WAN platform operates without additional licensing costs and supports multiple VPN technologies including Site Magic, IPsec, WireGuard, OpenVPN, and L2TP. Features such as Identity Endpoint One-Click VPN and Teleport Zero-Configuration VPN simplify remote access deployment for users and administrators. Multi-WAN load balancing, policy-based WAN and VPN routing, dynamic routing with OSPF and BGP, and advanced NAT functions further improve network flexibility and scalability. At its core is an octa-core ARM v9 processor running at 2.1 GHz, supported by 16 GB of system memory for fast application handling and efficient multi-service performance. The system also includes an integrated 128 GB SSD to improve application responsiveness and overall user experience. For video surveillance storage expansion, the gateway features two 3.5-inch NVR HDD bays, enabling large-scale UniFi Protect deployments directly within the platform. The device supports advanced networking services including integrated RADIUS Server functionality, RADIUS over TLS (RadSec), customizable DHCP server configuration, IPv6 ISP support, IGMP Proxy, multicast DNS, advanced QoS, and full traffic flow visibility.

The system operates with a maximum power consumption of 100W using an internal 150W AC/DC power supply and supports operating temperatures from 0 to 40 °C.
