The RG-EG100/200 Series is designed as a cloud managed router platform for small and medium business networks that need simple deployment together with advanced routing functions. The routers provide Gigabit WAN and LAN connectivity, with switchable LAN/WAN ports that allow the network layout to be adapted to different access requirements. Multi-WAN support enables link redundancy and load balancing between internet connections, helping administrators keep services available while distributing traffic across available uplinks. Routing options include static routing, policy-based routing, carrier address routing, active/standby mode, source-address load balancing, flow-based load balancing, and weighted port-based balancing of data streams, giving administrators several ways to match routing behavior to real network traffic.

Configuration is designed to be accessible through eWeb and Ruijie Cloud, with automatic identification of access methods and automatic avoidance of WAN port address conflicts helping simplify setup. The routers support common internet access methods such as PPPoE, DHCP client, and static IP, while MAC cloning and the ability to obtain account passwords from existing routers can help during replacement or migration. Recommended client capacity and bandwidth depend on the selected model, allowing the same router family to be used in smaller networks as well as larger deployments that require more connected users and higher asymmetric bandwidth. Local AC power support and compact hardware options also make the series practical for everyday business installations.

The RG-EG100/200 Series combines gateway security, traffic visibility, and user control functions for managed business networks. Security functions include ACL, IP-MAC binding, MAC address filtering, dynamic ARP, static ARP binding, NAT, NAPT, and port mapping, helping administrators control how internal and external traffic is handled. Application recognition uses a built-in signature database with automatic updates, allowing unwanted applications to be blocked with less manual maintenance. Flow control policies can be customized, with automatic bandwidth assignment by IP address or application, while real-time traffic audit and IP traffic visualization help administrators understand how network resources are being used and adjust policies based on actual network behavior.

The routers also support several remote access and authentication scenarios. VPN functions include IPsec, L2TP, PPTP, and OpenVPN tunnels, giving administrators options for secure connectivity between users, sites, or internal services. Captive portal functions include WiFiDog SMS authentication and one-click authentication, while local authentication supports password, QR code, and voucher methods. Ruijie Cloud adds self-organizing networking, centralized network management, scenario-based configuration, cloud portal authentication, remote monitoring, and maintenance. The platform can also manage access points and cloud managed switches, including SSID, roaming, port, VLAN, upgrade, and status functions, helping administrators control a broader network from the same management environment instead of separating gateway, wireless, and switch administration.
