Outdoor 4G Router
The Teltonika OTD144 is an outdoor 4G LTE router designed to provide mobile network connectivity through an integrated wireless and Ethernet networking system. Supporting LTE Cat 4, it delivers download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps, with additional support for 3G and 2G networks. The router incorporates two internal omnidirectional cellular antennas, eliminating the need to connect separate external mobile antennas. Its outdoor-oriented construction makes it suitable for installations where the router must operate outside a conventional indoor environment, while the integrated antennas keep the mobile connectivity components within a single enclosure.
The OTD144 also includes Wi-Fi 4 (802.11b/g/n), operating in access point (AP) or station (STA) mode and accommodating up to 50 simultaneous wireless connections. Two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports can be configured for WAN connectivity, allowing the router to work with wired network connections alongside mobile and Wi-Fi links. Automatic failover between mobile, wired, and Wi-Fi WAN connections provides an alternative connection when the active link becomes unavailable. The router also offers bridge and passthrough modes, enabling a connected device to communicate directly through the mobile connection or receive the router's mobile WAN IP address.
Installation and Management
The OTD144 is designed for outdoor installation with an IP55-rated enclosure and an operating temperature range of −40 °C to +75 °C. A mounting bracket allows installation on a pole or vertical flat surface, providing two ways to position the router. Power is supplied through an Ethernet connection using IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, with an input voltage range of 42.5–57 V DC. The second Ethernet port provides PoE output compliant with IEEE 802.3af Alternative B, with a maximum output power of 15 W depending on the power supply. This arrangement combines network connectivity and power distribution through the router's Ethernet interfaces.
For network administration, the OTD144 runs RutOS and supports configuration through WebUI and remote management using Teltonika RMS. Firmware can be updated through FOTA, while SNMP and MQTT provide additional monitoring and communication options. Network security functions include firewall configuration, VLAN segmentation, and VPN technologies such as OpenVPN, IPsec, and WireGuard. The router also supports industrial communication protocols including Modbus TCP, DNP3, BACnet, and OPC UA, together with Data to Server functionality for collecting parameters from different sources and forwarding them to a single server. These functions allow the router to combine outdoor connectivity with network management and industrial data communication.
