Industrial LTE Router
UR32 is an industrial cellular router designed for M2M and IoT applications where remote equipment needs dependable network access. It combines an embedded cellular modem with dual SIM support, allowing the router to use 4G LTE Cat 4, WCDMA, and GSM networks depending on the region. Cellular connectivity provides up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps uplink, giving field devices a practical connection path for monitoring, control, and data transfer. Dual SIM backup helps maintain connectivity across multiple carrier networks, while automated failover and failback between Ethernet, cellular, and Wi-Fi support more resilient operation. The router uses an ARM Cortex-A7 processor with 128 MB DDR3 RAM and 128 MB flash, providing the hardware base for industrial routing and device communication.
Two Fast Ethernet ports can operate as one WAN and one LAN, or as two LAN ports, which gives flexibility when linking local assets or connecting to an upstream network. Optional Wi-Fi supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n in AP or client mode, enabling local wireless access or an additional WAN backup path. The modular design also supports interfaces such as serial, I/O, Wi-Fi, and GNSS by configuration, helping connect diverse field assets within public and industrial application scenarios.
UR32 is built for secure and manageable industrial networking. It supports VPN tunnels including IPsec, OpenVPN, GRE, L2TP, PPTP, DMVPN, WireGuard, and ZeroTier, allowing remote devices and sites to communicate through protected network paths. Security functions include access control, DMZ, port mapping, MAC binding, SPI firewalls, DoS and DDoS protection, IP and domain filtering, VLAN separation, and AAA authentication through Radius, TACACS+, LDAP, local authentication, and 802.1x. Multiple user authority levels help control administrative access, while the hardware watchdog can automatically recover the router from failures to support higher availability.
For integration with industrial systems, UR32 supports SNMP, TR069, MQTT, Modbus bridging, RIP, OSPF, and Python SDK-based secondary development. The serial interface can work with transparent TCP, UDP, MQTT, Modbus Server or Client, Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP gateway, and DLMS Client modes. DeviceHub, Milesight Development Platform, WEB GUI, CLI, SNMP, TR069, SMS, and HTTP(s) API provide several options for setup, mass configuration, monitoring, updates, and remote device management. The rugged metal enclosure supports desktop, wall, or DIN rail mounting, while the 9–48 VDC power input, IP30 protection, and -40 °C to +70 °C operating range support deployment in demanding industrial environments.
