Reliable Cellular Connectivity
The Teltonika RUT951 is a professional industrial cellular router designed for reliable connectivity in IoT, M2M, industrial automation, retail, energy, and smart city applications. Equipped with 4G LTE Cat 4 technology, the router supports download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps, ensuring stable communication for remote systems and connected devices. The device also supports automatic fallback to 3G and 2G networks, helping maintain uninterrupted connectivity in locations with unstable mobile coverage. One of the key advantages of the RUT951 is its dual SIM functionality with automatic failover and backup WAN support. The router can automatically switch between SIM cards based on signal strength, roaming status, data limits, connection failure, or unavailable networks.
Additional mobile features include operator allow and block lists, multiple PDN support, automatic APN configuration, SIM PIN management, and mobile WAN passthrough. These functions provide greater flexibility for deployments across different operators and network environments. For wireless connectivity, the RUT951 supports Wi-Fi 4 in both Access Point and Station modes with up to 100 simultaneous wireless users. Advanced wireless features include wireless mesh, fast roaming, hotspot functionality, MAC filtering, and QR code login support for simplified access. Security is strengthened with WPA2 and WPA3 encryption, enterprise authentication protocols, client separation, and Protected Management Frames, making the router suitable for secure professional networking environments.
Advanced Network Control
The Teltonika RUT951 is built for advanced networking applications where stability, remote management, and secure communication are essential. The router features four Fast Ethernet ports, including one WAN port and three LAN ports with auto MDI/MDIX support, enabling flexible integration into industrial and enterprise networks. Running on RutOS, an OpenWrt-based operating system, the device supports advanced routing protocols including BGP, OSPF v2, RIP, EIGRP, and policy-based routing for complex networking environments. To ensure continuous operation, the RUT951 supports automatic WAN failover, load balancing, and multiple network backup options including mobile, Wi-Fi WAN, VRRP, and wired connectivity. Built-in monitoring functions such as Ping Reboot, Wget Reboot, and link inspection help maintain uptime in mission-critical applications.
Security features are designed for demanding industrial deployments. The router supports configurable firewall rules, NAT, VLAN separation, access control, and protection against DDoS attacks, SSH attacks, and port scanning attempts. Authentication methods include X.509 certificates, TACACS+, RADIUS authentication, and certificate management tools. The RUT951 also supports a wide range of VPN protocols including OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, GRE, PPTP, L2TP, SSTP, ZeroTier, Tinc, and DMVPN. Multiple VPN clients and servers can run simultaneously, enabling secure remote access and encrypted communication between remote devices and networks.
Rugged Compact Design
Designed for industrial and outdoor environments, the Teltonika RUT951 combines a rugged aluminium housing with reliable operation in demanding conditions. The router operates in temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C and supports humidity levels from 10% to 90% non-condensing. With an IP30-rated enclosure and mounting options including DIN rail, wall mount, and flat surface installation, the device is suitable for industrial automation, transportation, utility infrastructure, and remote networking applications. The RUT951 is powered through a 4-pin industrial DC connector supporting 9 - 30 VDC input voltage with reverse polarity and surge protection. Passive PoE over spare pairs is also supported via the LAN port for more flexible installation options. The router includes one digital input and one digital output for integration with external sensors, alarms, and automation systems.
Event notifications can be configured through SMS, email, or RMS, while the I/O Juggler feature allows customised automation scenarios and remote control actions. Industrial protocol support includes Modbus TCP, MQTT, OPC UA, DNP3, and DLMS/COSEM, allowing easy integration into telemetry and monitoring systems. Support for HTTP(S), MQTT, Azure MQTT, and custom Lua scripting enables flexible IoT deployments and automation projects. Remote management is simplified through RMS, SNMP, TR-069, MQTT, JSON-RPC, and cloud platform integration with AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, ThingWorx, and Cumulocity. Firmware updates, configuration management, and diagnostics can all be handled remotely, helping reduce maintenance time and operational costs.
