High-Speed Aggregation Switching
The UniFi Switch Aggregation (USW-Aggregation) is a fully managed Layer 2 switch designed to serve as a high-performance aggregation point in modern enterprise and campus networks. Equipped with eight 10G SFP+ ports, it allows multiple high-speed uplinks from access switches, servers, or storage systems to be consolidated into a single, powerful switching layer. This design significantly increases overall network capacity while reducing bottlenecks in data-intensive environments.With a switching capacity of 160 Gbps and non-blocking throughput of 80 Gbps, the USW-Aggregation ensures smooth data flow even under heavy traffic loads.
A forwarding rate of 119 million packets per second enables low-latency packet processing, making the switch suitable for virtualization, high-density Wi-Fi deployments, and backbone connections between network segments. Support for up to 1,000 VLANs and a MAC address table of 16,000 entries provides the scalability needed for complex network topologies. Designed to operate as part of the UniFi ecosystem, the switch delivers predictable performance, centralized visibility, and the flexibility required to grow with your infrastructure.

Advanced Layer 2 Features
The USW-Aggregation offers a comprehensive set of Layer 2 features that give network administrators fine-grained control over traffic behavior, security, and segmentation. LACP port aggregation allows multiple physical links to be combined into a single logical connection, increasing bandwidth and providing redundancy. STP and RSTP help prevent network loops, ensuring stability in complex switching environments. Advanced multicast handling is supported through IGMP Snooping, IGMP Querier, and Fast Leave, optimizing multicast traffic delivery for applications such as video streaming and IP surveillance.
Security and access control are enhanced with 802.1X authentication, MAC-based and IP-based ACLs, device isolation, and port isolation, helping to protect sensitive network segments from unauthorized access. Additional traffic-management features such as storm control, broadcast and multicast rate limiting, egress rate limiting, and flow control allow administrators to maintain consistent network performance under varying loads. Tools like port mirroring, jumbo frame support, LLDP-MED, Voice VLAN, and loop protection make the switch adaptable to VoIP, monitoring, and enterprise deployment scenarios.

Rack-Mount Design
The UniFi Switch Aggregation is designed for professional installations, featuring a 1U rack-mount form factor compatible with racks ranging from 400 to 1200 mm in depth. Its enclosure and mounting components are made from SGCC steel, ensuring durability and long-term reliability in data centers and network closets. An integrated 1.3-inch touchscreen LCM display provides at-a-glance status information and basic device insights directly from the front panel.
Power is supplied via an internal AC/DC power supply with universal input support, delivering reliable operation while keeping maximum power consumption at 36 W, even with SFP modules installed. Efficient thermal design results in 102 BTU/hr heat dissipation, supporting stable performance in environments with ambient temperatures from −5 to 40 °C and humidity up to 90% non-condensing. The switch is managed through the UniFi Network application (version 5.14.12 or later), offering centralized configuration, monitoring, and firmware updates. Compliance with NDAA, along with certifications such as CE, FCC, IC, and Anatel, makes the USW-Aggregation suitable for enterprise and regulated deployments.
