Industrial 5G Router
The Teltonika RUTM51 is an industrial 5G router designed to connect industrial equipment, business networks, and remote installations through mobile and wired connections. Supporting 5G Sub-6 GHz in standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes, it delivers download speeds of up to 2.6 Gbps in NSA mode and 2 Gbps in SA mode. The router also supports 4G LTE Cat 12 for downloading, Cat 13 for uploading, and 3G connectivity. Its cellular frequency coverage includes 5G NR bands n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n77, and n78, alongside supported LTE and 3G bands.
The RUTM51 combines mobile connectivity with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and Gigabit Ethernet networking. Wi-Fi operates on the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, supporting MU-MIMO and data rates of up to 867 Mbps, with up to 150 simultaneous wireless connections. Four Gigabit LAN ports accommodate wired equipment, while a separate Gigabit WAN port provides an additional network connection. Two Mini SIM slots support automatic switching between SIM cards when conditions such as weak signal, roaming, data limits, or connection failures occur. The router also supports automatic WAN failover between mobile, wired, and Wi-Fi connections, helping maintain network availability when the active connection becomes unavailable.
Remote Management and Control
The RUTM51 combines routing, security, and industrial communication functions in one device. Static and dynamic routing, VLAN segmentation, firewall configuration, and traffic prioritization allow network traffic to be managed according to connected devices and services. VPN technologies including OpenVPN, IPsec, and WireGuard provide options for encrypted connections between networks. For industrial communication, the router supports Modbus TCP, OPC UA, DNP3, and DLMS/COSEM, along with a Modbus MQTT Gateway for exchanging commands and data through an MQTT broker. Its Data to Server function can collect parameters from different sources and protocols and forward them to a single server.
For configuration and monitoring, the RUTM51 supports WebUI, Teltonika Remote Management System (RMS), FOTA firmware updates, SNMP, and MQTT. A USB port accommodates external devices, while a digital input and output enable interaction with connected equipment and event-based notifications. The router operates from a 9–50 V DC supply through a four-pin industrial connector or can be powered through LAN1 using passive PoE, which is not compatible with IEEE 802.3af/at/bt. Its aluminium housing is rated IP30 and operates at temperatures from −40 °C to +75 °C. DIN rail, wall, and flat-surface mounting options are available, each requiring an additional mounting kit.
This version comes with an EU power supply and is intended for use only in the following countries: Thailand, Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, South Africa, Gambia, Nigeria, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Zambia, Tanzania, Angola, Benin, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Uganda, and China.
