Industrial 5G Router
The Teltonika RUTM55 is a powerful industrial-grade 5G router designed to deliver ultra-fast and reliable connectivity for demanding applications. Equipped with a 5G Sub-6 GHz modem supporting both SA and NSA architectures, it enables download speeds of up to 3.4 Gbps and uplink speeds up to 900 Mbps. It also supports LTE Cat 19 and 3G fallback, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity across different network environments. For enhanced redundancy, the router features Dual SIM slots combined with an integrated eSIM. This allows automatic switching between operators based on signal strength, data limits, roaming conditions, or connection failures. The eSIM supports up to 7 profiles, enabling centralized remote management without requiring physical SIM replacement.
Advanced monitoring tools provide real-time visibility into connection parameters such as RSSI, RSRP, SINR, cell ID, and network type. Additional capabilities like band locking, multiple PDN usage, operator allow/block lists, and SIM idle protection enable precise control over mobile connectivity. SMS and USSD functionalities further extend remote management options, allowing automated alerts, remote commands, and system integration. With its robust mobile capabilities, the RUTM55 is ideal for industrial automation, transport systems, smart city infrastructure, and mission-critical IoT deployments where consistent connectivity is essential.
Advanced Networking
The RUTM55 is built to support advanced networking environments, offering a comprehensive set of routing and connectivity features. It supports both static and dynamic routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF v2, RIP v1/v2, EIGRP, and NHRP, making it suitable for complex enterprise and industrial network architectures. Policy-based routing enables precise traffic management across multiple connections. Wireless connectivity is powered by dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave 2) with MU-MIMO support, delivering speeds up to 867 Mbps and supporting up to 150 simultaneous wireless clients. Advanced wireless features such as Mesh networking (802.11s), Fast Roaming (802.11r), and radio resource management (802.11k/v) ensure stable and seamless connectivity across large or dynamic environments.
Network segmentation is enabled through VLAN support, allowing separation of traffic by users, services, or devices. QoS and Smart Queue Management ensure traffic prioritization, maintaining performance for latency-sensitive applications such as VoIP or video streaming. Security is a key strength of the RUTM55. It includes a robust firewall with NAT, DMZ, and customizable rules, as well as protection against DDoS attacks and port scanning. Authentication options include WPA3, X.509 certificates, TACACS+, and RADIUS, while the integrated TPM 2.0 module ensures secure device authentication at the hardware level. A wide range of VPN technologies—including OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, GRE, and ZeroTier—enables encrypted communication and secure remote access.
Hardware & Management
The RUTM55 is built on a powerful hardware platform designed for reliability and long-term operation in industrial environments. It features a dual-core MediaTek CPU running at 880 MHz, combined with 256 MB DDR3 RAM and dual flash storage (16 MB NOR and 256 MB NAND), ensuring stable performance for data-intensive tasks and multitasking. The device runs on RutOS, an OpenWrt-based operating system that supports advanced configuration, scripting, and integration. The router offers extensive connectivity options, including 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 WAN and 3 LAN), a USB 2.0 port, and industrial serial interfaces (RS232 and RS485) for integration with legacy systems and industrial equipment. It also features multiple digital and analog inputs/outputs, enabling control and monitoring of external devices.
Integrated GNSS support (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS) allows accurate location tracking and positioning, with data accessible via WebUI, SMS, or remote platforms such as RMS. Power is supplied via a 3-pin industrial connector (9–50 VDC) with surge and reverse polarity protection, as well as passive PoE support. The router consumes less than 8.5 W in idle mode and up to 14.5 W under load. Remote management is supported via RMS, WebUI, SNMP, MQTT, and TR-069, along with FOTA updates and detailed diagnostics. The rugged aluminum housing, compact design, and wide operating temperature range (-40 °C to +75 °C) make it suitable for harsh industrial environments.
