5MP AI Motorized Pro Dome Camera

The Milesight MS-C5372-FPC is an AI motorized Pro dome network camera designed for flexible monitoring across indoor and outdoor environments. Its motorized lens supports remote adjustment of the viewing angle, allowing the scene to be framed after installation without replacing the optics. Automatic and manual focus control help maintain image clarity as the focal length changes, while the optional P-Iris function provides an additional method of controlling the lens aperture. Day, night, automatic, customized, and scheduled operating modes allow the camera to adapt its imaging behaviour to different times and lighting conditions. Smart IR adjusts infrared output to suit the scene and supports visibility at distances of up to 50 metres with the 2.7–13.5 mm lens.

The camera uses a metal dome housing rated IK10 for vandal resistance and up to IP67 for weather-resistant operation. This construction supports deployment in exposed locations where the equipment may encounter impact, dust, or moisture. A clamshell-style design provides direct access to the internal interfaces and card slot during installation, helping simplify mounting and servicing. Power can be supplied through PoE according to IEEE 802.3af or through a 12 V DC input, giving installers two available power options. The camera operates from -40 °C to 60 °C and in non-condensing humidity from 0% to 90%, making it suitable for sites exposed to substantial seasonal and environmental variation.

For the MS-C5372-FPC, a 1/2.8-inch progressive scan CMOS sensor produces images at up to 2592 × 1944 resolution. The motorized 2.7–13.5 mm lens changes the horizontal field of view from 89° to 30°, allowing the camera to move between broad scene coverage and a more concentrated view of a selected area. Colour imaging is supported down to 0.008 lux at F1.4, while black-and-white operation reaches 0 lux when infrared illumination is active. A 120 dB Super WDR function helps preserve detail when bright and dark areas appear together in the same scene, and shutter speeds from 1/100000 second to 1 second provide adjustment for different lighting and movement conditions.

The primary stream records at full resolution at up to 30 fps in 60 Hz environments or 25 fps in 50 Hz environments. Lower resolutions support higher frame rates, including up to 60 fps at 1920 × 1080 under 60 Hz operation and up to 50 fps under 50 Hz operation. Secondary and tertiary streams provide additional profiles for live viewing, recording, or remote access. H.265+, H.265, H.264+, H.264, and MJPEG compression allow bandwidth and storage use to be balanced against compatibility and image quality. The video bit rate is adjustable from 16 Kbps to 16 Mbps in CBR or VBR mode, while up to eight regions of interest and multiple privacy mask areas support more focused stream configuration.

AI video analytics help the camera identify defined activity and generate more relevant monitoring events. Available functions include region entrance and exit detection, advanced motion detection, tamper detection, line crossing, loitering, and recognition of objects that have been left behind or removed. Face detection can locate and capture faces while providing real-time snapshots. People counting records the number of people entering or leaving and supports regional counting across as many as four detection areas. Additional processing tools include heat mapping, backlight and highlight compensation, two-dimensional and three-dimensional noise reduction, defog, automatic white balance, electronic image stabilization, anti-flicker, corridor mode, deblur, watermarking, automatic gain control, and IP address filtering.

The built-in microphone and audio output support two-way audio using G.711, AAC, G.722, or G.726 compression. Alarm input and output interfaces allow external devices to participate in the event workflow. Configurable triggers include motion detection, network disconnection, audio alarms, and external input, while available responses include FTP or SMTP upload, recording to the memory card, external output, SIP phone calls, and HTTP notifications. Local storage accepts microSD, SDHC, or SDXC cards up to 256 GB, and NAS recording is supported through NFS or SMB/CIFS with ANR. Integration options include ONVIF Profiles G, Q, S, and T, an API, SIP, Voice and Video over IP, and a broad set of standard network protocols through the 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface.
