The Ubiquiti UVC-G6-Mini-Dome-W is a compact 4K dome camera designed for UniFi Protect installations where high-resolution video, discreet form factor, and flexible placement are required. With an 8MP resolution of 3840 × 2160 in a 16:9 format, it provides detailed video suitable for monitoring entrances, corridors, retail spaces, offices, and other indoor or protected installation areas where visual clarity is important. The camera supports a maximum frame rate of 30 FPS, helping deliver smooth footage for everyday surveillance use. Its wide field of view, 109.9° horizontal, 56.7° vertical, and 134.1° diagonal, allows the camera to cover a broad area from a single mounting position.

This makes it useful where a wider viewing angle can reduce the need for multiple cameras in the same space. The fixed focal length lens keeps the setup straightforward, while the 1/1.8" 8MP sensor supports the camera’s high-resolution imaging performance. The compact body measures Ø100.8 × 56 mm and weighs 254 g, making it suitable for installations where a low-profile camera is preferred. The camera is designed for use with the UniFi Application Suite Protect, keeping video management within the UniFi Protect environment.

The camera combines high-resolution video with intelligent detection capabilities to support more structured and useful monitoring. It supports smart detections for people, vehicles, and animals, helping the system distinguish between different types of movement rather than treating all activity the same way. This is useful for environments where relevant events need to be identified quickly, such as movement near entrances, vehicle areas, or monitored walkways. Face recognition and license plate recognition are also supported, adding more advanced identification functions for deployments where these capabilities are required.

These functions make the camera suitable for security setups that need more than simple motion recording, while still keeping the device compact and easy to integrate into a UniFi Protect system. For low-light operation, the camera includes built-in IR LED illumination and an IR cut filter. Its IR night vision range reaches up to 20 m, allowing the camera to continue monitoring in darkness or low-light conditions. Image settings include color, brightness, sharpness, contrast, white balance, exposure control, HDR, masking, text overlay, 2DNR, 3DNR, and noise reduction by motion. These settings help adapt the image to different lighting conditions and scene requirements without relying only on default image output.

The UVC-G6-Mini-Dome-W is powered by PoE, combining power and network connectivity through the camera’s 10/100 MbE RJ45 interface. This simplifies installation by reducing the need for a separate power connection at the camera location. The supported voltage range is 37–57V DC, and maximum power consumption is 9W, allowing the camera to operate within a standard PoE-based surveillance infrastructure. The camera includes ceiling and wall mounting options, making it suitable for common dome camera installation positions. Optional mounting accessories include a gang box mounting plate, arm, camera dual mount, and junction box, providing additional flexibility for different surfaces and installation requirements.

The maximum cable diameter is 6.5 mm, which is useful to consider when planning cabling and mounting. The enclosure is made from aluminum alloy and polycarbonate, combining a solid structure with practical housing materials. IK08 tamper resistance provides protection against mechanical impact, supporting installations where the camera may be placed in accessible areas. The camera also includes a factory-reset button for maintenance. It operates in ambient temperatures from -20 to 40 °C and in 0 to 90% noncondensing humidity. The product is NDAA compliant and carries CE, FCC, and IC certifications.
