Alfa PD-1000T 12V PoE Converter – 30W IEEE 802.3at/af PoE Power Adapter for Non-PoE Devices

The PD-1000T is a PoE powered-device unit that draws power from an IEEE 802.3at/af source and provides a 12 V DC output with up to 30 W. It is intended to add PoE support to non-PoE devices, combining power delivery with Ethernet data communication over standard cabling. The unit automatically detects PoE terminals and supplies inline power, while its RJ45 input carries both data and power. This allows a single incoming Ethernet connection to serve as the power source and data path before the PD-1000T delivers the required output arrangement for the connected device. Data communication therefore remains part of the same cabling path used for incoming PoE power.

Power is supplied to the unit at 48 VDC, while the output is 12 VDC, making the conversion stage central to its role. The device supports IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3at, and IEEE 802.3af standards and can provide a maximum power output of 30 W. Short-circuit protection is included for connected network devices, while Ethernet isolation and ESD protection add protection on the network side. The specified ESD and surge protection is +/- 15 kV. A power on/off LED gives a direct indication of operating status, and the 5.5 x 2.1 mm DC jack defines the physical power connection that must be matched when connecting equipment.
