The PD-1000D is a PoE data and power splitter that accepts both network data and power through a standard PoE input, then separates them into dedicated outputs. Network data is provided through an RJ45 connection, while power is delivered through a DC jack. This arrangement allows the incoming PoE connection to be divided into distinct data and power paths from a single input connection. Instead of carrying both functions through the same incoming PoE link all the way to the output side, the splitter presents data and power separately, defining its core role in the connection. This keeps the two outputs clearly separated.

The unit supports IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3at, and IEEE 802.3af standards. For power delivery, the PD-1000D includes a voltage selector marked for 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, and 18 V operation, allowing the output voltage to be selected from the documented options before power is supplied through the DC jack. The power connector uses a 5.5 x 2.1 mm DC jack, which is an important physical connection requirement when matching the splitter to the receiving device. A system-power LED provides a direct indication of operating power status, while the specified +/- 15 kV ESD and surge protection adds protection against documented electrical discharge and surge events.
