Ubiquiti Enterprise Fortress Gateway

The Enterprise Fortress Gateway (EFG) is a high-capacity cloud gateway designed for demanding enterprise environments and large-scale networks. It is powered by an 18-core ARM v8.2 processor running at 2 GHz, ensuring robust and stable performance even under heavy network load. The gateway can support more than 500 UniFi devices and handle over 5,000 client devices simultaneously, making it suitable for very large enterprise deployments, campuses, and high-density office environments. With a capability of 1,000,000 concurrent sessions and 71,000 new sessions per second, it ensures fast, reliable, and uninterrupted connectivity for multiple users. For security and inspection, the device provides 23.5 Gbps firewall throughput and 12.5 Gbps intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS) performance, allowing enterprises to implement advanced firewall rules, protect against network threats, and maintain high-speed traffic inspection without compromising performance. EFG is designed to manage high workloads while delivering enterprise-grade reliability, making it a central backbone component for critical networks.

The EFG is equipped with high-speed interfaces to meet enterprise WAN and LAN requirements. On the LAN side, it provides one 25G SFP28 port, two 10G SFP+ ports, and one 2.5G RJ45 port, while the WAN side includes one 25G SFP28 port and one 2.5G RJ45 port, supporting high-throughput connections across all network segments. This versatile port arrangement ensures seamless integration into existing infrastructure and accommodates large amounts of traffic simultaneously. For power, the gateway features dual hot-swappable 150 W CRPS power supplies, allowing uninterrupted operation even during maintenance or power supply replacement. The device accepts universal AC input 100–240 V and has a maximum power consumption of 82 W, combining energy efficiency with reliability. Its robust chassis, measuring 442.4 × 43.7 × 325 mm and weighing 6.5 kg, is built from aluminium and steel for long-term durability. The combination of high-speed connectivity and redundant power solutions ensures EFG delivers both reliability and high availability in enterprise-grade network deployments.

The EFG offers advanced security and management features tailored for enterprise networks. It supports application-aware firewall rules, signature-based IDS/IPS threat detection, and a stateful IPv4/IPv6 firewall, providing comprehensive protection against network attacks and threats. VPN support includes WireGuard, OpenVPN, and L2TP, offering flexible connectivity for remote offices and secure site-to-site communications. Administrators can leverage redundant WAN with failover and load balancing to maintain uninterrupted connectivity, while QoS rules based on applications, domains, and countries allow traffic prioritization for critical services. The system includes a 1.3-inch touchscreen display for easy monitoring and configuration, a factory reset button, and ESD/EMP protection at ±8 kV air and ±4 kV contact, ensuring resilience in electrically noisy environments. Operating conditions are 0–40 °C temperature and 5–95% non-condensing humidity, enabling deployment in standard enterprise server rooms or network closets. Overall, the EFG combines high security, scalability, and centralized management for reliable enterprise networking and threat protection.
