Ultra-Fast 5G Connectivity
The Teltonika RUTX50 is a high-performance industrial 5G router designed for data-intensive applications requiring ultra-fast, reliable, and secure connectivity. Supporting both 5G SA and NSA architectures, the router delivers mobile download speeds of up to 3.3 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 900 Mbps, making it ideal for industrial automation, enterprise networking, smart city infrastructure, retail, and energy applications. Backward compatibility with 4G LTE Cat 20 and 3G technologies ensures long-term deployment flexibility and smooth network migration. The RUTX50 features dual SIM support with automatic failover and backup WAN functionality to maintain uninterrupted communication. Automatic switching scenarios can be configured based on signal strength, roaming status, data limits, SMS limits, unavailable networks, or connection failures.
Additional mobile networking features include operator allow and block lists, multiple PDN support, automatic APN configuration, SIM idle protection, band management, and mobile WAN passthrough. For wireless connectivity, the router supports dual-band Wi-Fi 5 with 802.11ac Wave 2 technology and data transmission speeds of up to 867 Mbps. Features such as MU-MIMO, wireless mesh, fast roaming, 802.11k/v/r support, QR code login, and MAC-based access control help ensure efficient and secure wireless networking. The router supports up to 150 simultaneous wireless users, making it suitable for demanding multi-device environments.
Advanced Network Control
The Teltonika RUTX50 is built for advanced industrial and enterprise networking environments where reliability, security, and remote management are essential. The router includes five Gigabit Ethernet ports consisting of one WAN and four LAN ports with support for auto MDI/MDIX crossover and IEEE 802.3az standards. Powered by RutOS, an OpenWrt-based operating system, the device supports advanced routing protocols including BGP, OSPF v2, RIP, EIGRP, NHRP, and policy-based routing. To ensure continuous network availability, the RUTX50 supports automatic WAN failover, load balancing, Wi-Fi WAN, VRRP, and wired backup connectivity. Connection monitoring features such as Ping Reboot, Wget Reboot, and link inspection help maintain uptime in mission-critical applications. Advanced traffic management functions including QoS, Smart Queue Management, traffic monitoring, and network topology visualisation provide improved control and optimisation of network resources.
Security features are designed for demanding professional deployments. The router supports configurable firewall rules, NAT, NAT64, VLAN separation, access control, and attack prevention against SYN flood attacks, SSH attacks, HTTP/HTTPS attacks, and port scans. Authentication methods include X.509 certificates, TACACS+, RADIUS authentication, 802.1x support, and certificate management tools. The RUTX50 also supports a broad range of VPN technologies including OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, GRE, PPTP, L2TP, SSTP, ZeroTier, DMVPN, Tailscale, and Tinc. Multiple VPN clients and servers can operate simultaneously, enabling secure remote access and encrypted communication between remote devices, branches, and industrial systems.
Industrial Automation Ready
Designed for demanding industrial deployments, the Teltonika RUTX50 combines rugged hardware with advanced connectivity and automation capabilities. The router is housed in a durable aluminium enclosure with IP30 protection and operates in temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C. Measuring 132 x 44.2 x 95.1 mm and weighing 533 g, the device supports DIN rail, wall, and flat surface mounting for flexible installation in industrial cabinets, vehicles, and infrastructure projects. The router includes GNSS support with GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS compatibility for positioning and tracking applications. GNSS coordinates can be monitored through WebUI, SMS, TAVL, and RMS platforms, while geofencing and NTRIP support enable advanced location-based services. The RUTX50 also features USB 2.0 connectivity with support for external storage devices, USB-to-serial adapters, printers, and additional modems.
Industrial communication protocol support includes OPC UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT, DNP3, and DLMS/COSEM, allowing integration into SCADA, telemetry, and IoT systems. Data can be transmitted using HTTP(S), MQTT, or Azure MQTT protocols, while custom Lua scripting enables flexible automation projects. Integrated digital input and digital output interfaces support remote monitoring and event-based control through SMS, email, or RMS notifications. Remote administration is simplified through RMS, SNMP, TR-069, MQTT, JSON-RPC, AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, and Cumulocity integration. Firmware updates, diagnostics, configuration management, and troubleshooting can all be handled remotely, reducing maintenance costs and improving operational efficiency across large device deployments.
