Alfa APOE08G 8-Port Gigabit Passive PoE Injector, 10/100/1000 Mbps, 12–48 V DC

The APOE08G is an eight-port Ethernet and Gigabit PoE power distribution unit that supplies power to as many as eight connected PoE devices from a single power source. It is intended for installations using devices such as access points, IP cameras, and IP phones, allowing several network endpoints to receive data and power through dedicated RJ45 outputs. The unit supports 10/100/1000 Mbps data rates, so it can be used with Ethernet or Gigabit connections within the documented range. Data enters through RJ45 connections, while the output ports carry both data and power to the attached devices.

Power can be provided from a 12–48 VDC source through either the DC jack or the terminal block connector, giving two documented connection methods for supplying the unit. The DC plug uses a 2.1 × 5.5 mm connector. Output power depends directly on the applied input power, making the selected power source an important part of system planning. A single input therefore serves the unit’s eight PoE outputs rather than requiring a separate power source for each connected endpoint. On the RJ45 connections, all pins are used for data, while power is carried on pins 4 and 5 for positive polarity and pins 7 and 8 for negative polarity. Together, these characteristics define the APOE08G as a centralized PoE power distribution device for multiple Ethernet-connected endpoints.
