Detailed description

High-isolation, point-to-multipoint (PtMP) horn antenna that covers a wide operating frequency range (5.15 - 6.875 GHz).

The UISP Horn, with its model manufacture part number UISP-Horn, is a sophisticated and highly versatile antenna designed by Ubiquiti Networks. This device is part of Ubiquiti's comprehensive UISP (Ubiquiti ISP) product line, aimed at providing innovative solutions for wireless internet service providers and network administrators. The UISP Horn is engineered to deliver exceptional directional beam performance and RF isolation, making it an indispensable tool for creating efficient and interference-resistant wireless networks.
With the included WaveGuide adapter, this antenna can be easily attached to an airFiber® 5XHD Radio (AF 5XHD), LTU Rocket®, or airMAX Rocket Prism® AC 5 GHz Radio (RP-5AC) to amplify their signal.
The UISP Horn is designed with a universal compatibility in mind, allowing it to be easily integrated with a wide range of radios and devices within the UISP ecosystem. This includes seamless interoperability with Ubiquiti's airMAX and airFiber lines, among others, providing network operators with the flexibility to deploy the UISP Horn in various configurations and applications. The antenna features a standard mounting system, enabling quick and secure attachment to compatible Ubiquiti radios, simplifying the installation process and allowing for rapid deployment or reconfiguration of network setups.
Note: The LTU radio is shown for demonstration purposes only. LTU Rocket is not included
Crafted to operate seamlessly across the 5 GHz frequency spectrum, the UISP Horn is distinguished by its ability to focus the radio signal into a precise, directional beam. This capability is paramount for both point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multipoint (PtMP) applications, where the quality of the signal and the minimization of interference are crucial for maintaining high-performance connectivity. The antenna covers a wide operating frequency range 5.15 - 6.875 GHz and provides a link range of up to 15 km The focused beam pattern of the UISP Horn is especially beneficial in densely populated areas or complex RF environments, where the antenna's ability to isolate signals from noise and interference significantly enhances network reliability and throughput.
One of the hallmark features of the UISP Horn is its RF isolation characteristics. By design, horn antennas provide superior isolation from off-axis noise and signals compared to traditional sector or dish antennas. This reduction in interference is achieved through the antenna's unique shape, which naturally limits the reception of unwanted signals, thereby ensuring a cleaner and more stable wireless communication channel. Such RF isolation is critical for optimizing the performance of wireless networks, particularly in scenarios where multiple networks operate in close proximity.
Built to withstand the challenges of outdoor deployment, the UISP Horn is made from die-cast UV-stabilized polycarbonate that exhibits a robust, IPX6 weather-resistant construction. The antenna's materials are selected for their durability and ability to resist the deteriorating effects of harsh weather conditions, including rain, wind, and extreme temperatures. This ensures the UISP Horn's continuous, reliable operation in outdoor settings, maintaining optimal performance over time.
The UISP Horn's design emphasizes ease of installation and operational flexibility. Its compact size and lightweight form factor allow for straightforward mounting on poles, walls, or other structures, providing network administrators with a range of deployment options. The alignment kit for pole mounting is also included (pole compatibility: Ø25 to 70 mm (Ø1 to 3")). Additionally, the antenna's precision beam shaping capabilities enable the fine-tuning of network coverage, allowing for the targeted distribution of wireless signals and the efficient utilization of the RF spectrum.
