CAN-Enabled Tracker
The FMB140 is an advanced GSM/GNSS/Bluetooth® LE tracker with an integrated CAN data processor, combining vehicle tracking and CAN adapter functionality in one compact device. It is designed to read CAN data from a wide range of vehicle types, including light and electric vehicles, trucks, buses, and special machinery. Depending on the software version, it can be used with LV-CAN200 or ALL-CAN300 options, allowing the device to support different business requirements and vehicle data scenarios. The tracker is suitable for applications such as heavy logistics, delivery services, utility transport, light vehicles, trailer tracking, refrigerated transport, international logistics, and car sharing.
GNSS support includes GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, QZSS, and AGPS, helping the device determine vehicle location in different operating conditions. Stated position and velocity accuracy, together with hot, warm, and cold start performance, support practical real-time tracking during vehicle movement and after restart conditions. The device operates over GSM/GPRS networks and supports SMS data communication. Internal high-gain GNSS and GSM antennas, Micro-SIM or eSIM support, Micro-USB, three status LEDs, and 128 MB internal flash memory help keep the unit practical for fleet installations. Its compact housing measures 65 x 56.6 x 20.6 mm and weighs 55 g.
CAN Data Monitoring
The FMB140 extends vehicle monitoring by combining CAN data reading, wired inputs and outputs, Bluetooth® LE peripheral support, and built-in event scenarios. Its CAN data reading capability can provide values such as dashboard fuel level, total fuel consumption, wheel-based vehicle speed, driven distance, engine speed, and accelerator pedal position. These parameters help add operational context to location tracking, allowing fleet systems to describe not only where a vehicle is, but also how it is being used. The device includes digital inputs, a negative input, impulse inputs, digital outputs, analog inputs, two CAN interfaces, and 1-Wire data support.
Ignition detection can be based on Digital Input 1, accelerometer data, external power voltage, or engine RPM, giving the tracker several ways to identify vehicle activity. Bluetooth® 4.0 + LE support allows connection of external devices such as temperature and humidity sensors, a headset, an OBDII dongle, an Inateck barcode scanner, and universal BLE sensors. Built-in scenarios include Green Driving, over-speeding detection, jamming detection, GNSS fuel counter, DOUT control via call, excessive idling detection, immobilizer, iButton read notification, unplug detection, towing detection, crash detection, automatic and manual geofencing, and trip detection. Configuration and firmware management are supported through FOTA Web, FOTA, Teltonika Configurator, and the FMBT mobile application.
