Wireless Asset Tracking
TAT100 is a compact asset tracker designed for monitoring non-powered assets and supporting vehicle tracking use cases where a wired device is not suitable or where an additional backup tracker is needed. It combines 2G GSM/GPRS connectivity, GNSS positioning, and Bluetooth® LE in a small enclosure measuring 78 x 63 x 28 mm, making it practical for installation on trailers, tools, construction equipment, wire reels, elevators, valuable assets, and vehicles. The device supports periodic tracking when stopped or moving, allowing location updates to be managed according to asset activity rather than relying only on continuous movement.
GNSS support includes GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou, helping the tracker determine position across multiple satellite systems. The accelerometer enables wake-up functionality, so the device can react to motion while maintaining an energy-conscious operating profile. Bluetooth® LE support extends the tracker’s role beyond location monitoring by allowing use with supported sensors and beacons, including recovery mode applications. For communication and management, TAT100 supports SMS, TCP, UDP, TLS, and DTLS, while configuration and diagnostics can be handled through SMS or GPRS commands.
Outdoor Protection
TAT100 is built for outdoor and field deployments where the tracker may be exposed to dust, moisture, and changing environmental conditions. Its IP68-rated enclosure provides water and dust resistance, supporting use on assets that are stored or operated outside. The casing is described as robust, practical, small, and easy to install, with mounting accessories available to simplify placement on different asset types. Internal high-gain GNSS and GSM antennas help keep the device self-contained, avoiding the need for external antenna installation.
The tracker uses non-rechargeable Li-SOCl2 batteries with extremely low self-discharge, supporting long-term operation in applications where regular charging is impractical. Two product variants are available, using either a 2-cell 7.2 V battery configuration or a 3-cell 10.8 V configuration. Operating temperature with battery ranges from -35 °C to +75 °C, while the device is designed for 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity, making it suitable for varied storage and deployment environments. Firmware and configuration can be updated through FOTA Web or Teltonika Configurator via Micro-USB, helping maintain the device without unnecessary physical intervention.
