The Teltonika RUT241 Global LTE Router is a compact industrial-grade cellular router designed for reliable connectivity in IoT, M2M, industrial automation, retail, and smart infrastructure applications. Equipped with 4G LTE Cat 4 technology, the router supports download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps, ensuring stable remote communication and efficient data transfer. Automatic fallback to 3G and 2G networks helps maintain uninterrupted connectivity in areas with changing network conditions. The Global LTE version supports a wide range of international frequency bands, making it suitable for worldwide deployment. Supported frequencies include LTE-FDD bands B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B13, B18, B19, B20, B25, B26, and B28, as well as LTE-TDD bands B38, B39, B40, and B41. The router also supports multiple 3G and 2G bands for maximum compatibility across operators and regions.
The router features a physical 2FF SIM slot and advanced mobile networking capabilities designed for professional deployments. Supported features include operator allow and block lists, multiple PDN support, automatic APN configuration, SIM PIN management, band lock, and mobile WAN passthrough. These capabilities help optimise connectivity and simplify deployment across multiple operators and countries. For wireless networking, the RUT241 supports Wi-Fi 4 in Access Point and Station modes with up to 50 simultaneous wireless users. Wireless mesh, fast roaming, hotspot functionality, MAC filtering, and WPA2/WPA3 security help ensure secure and stable wireless connectivity.
Advanced Network Control
The Teltonika RUT241 is designed for professional networking applications where stability, security, and remote accessibility are essential. The router includes one WAN and one LAN Fast Ethernet port with auto MDI/MDIX support for flexible integration into industrial and enterprise infrastructures. Powered by RutOS, an OpenWrt-based operating system, the device supports advanced routing protocols including BGP, OSPF v2, RIP, EIGRP, NHRP, and policy-based routing. To ensure uninterrupted communication, the RUT241 supports automatic WAN failover, load balancing, and multiple backup connectivity options including mobile, wired, Wi-Fi WAN, and VRRP. Connection monitoring functions such as Ping Reboot, Wget Reboot, periodic reboot, and link inspection help maintain uptime in critical applications.
dditional features including QoS, traffic monitoring, network topology visualisation, wireless signal analysis, and DNS over HTTPS provide enhanced network control and optimisation. Security capabilities are designed for demanding industrial deployments. The router supports configurable firewall rules, NAT, NAT64, VLAN separation, port management, and advanced attack prevention against DDoS attacks, SSH attacks, and port scanning attempts. Authentication methods include X.509 certificates, TACACS+, RADIUS authentication, 802.1x support, and flexible access control for SSH, CLI, Telnet, and WebUI management. The RUT241 also supports a wide range of VPN technologies including OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, GRE, PPTP, L2TP, SSTP, ZeroTier, DMVPN, and Tinc. Multiple VPN clients and servers can run simultaneously, enabling secure remote access and encrypted communication between remote devices and networks.
Compact Rugged Design
Built for industrial and outdoor applications, the Teltonika RUT241 combines a compact aluminium housing with reliable operation in demanding environments. Measuring only 83 x 25 x 74 mm and weighing 125 g, the router is ideal for installations where space is limited. The device operates in temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C and supports humidity levels from 10% to 90% non-condensing. With an IP30-rated enclosure and support for DIN rail, wall mount, and flat surface installation, the RUT241 is suitable for industrial automation, transportation, energy, and smart city deployments. The router features a 4-pin industrial power connector supporting 9 - 30 VDC input voltage with reverse polarity and surge protection. Passive PoE over spare pairs is also supported through the LAN port for flexible installation options. Integrated digital input and digital output interfaces allow interaction with external sensors, alarms, and automation systems.
Event notifications can be configured through SMS, email, or RMS, while I/O Juggler functionality enables customised automation scenarios and remote control actions. The RUT241 supports industrial communication protocols including OPC UA, Modbus TCP, MQTT, DNP3, and DLMS/COSEM. Data can be transmitted using HTTP(S), MQTT, or Azure MQTT protocols, while custom Lua scripting enables advanced automation and integration projects. Remote management is simplified through RMS, SNMP, TR-069, JSON-RPC, MQTT, and cloud platform integration with AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, ThingWorx, and Cumulocity. Firmware updates, diagnostics, and configuration management can all be handled remotely, reducing maintenance time and operational costs.
