Battery-Mounted Tracker
The FMT100 is a 2G vehicle battery-mounted tracker designed for quick installation and real-time monitoring of light vehicles. Its clamp connectors allow the device to be connected in a few minutes, making it suitable for applications where simple integration is important and specialist installation knowledge is not required. This makes the tracker relevant for courier delivery services, taxis, car rental and leasing, insurance telematics, and other light vehicle tracking use cases. The slim housing is intended for under-bonnet installation, while the IP65-rated casing helps protect the device in poor weather conditions. With compact dimensions of 92.5 x 57.6 x 14 mm and a weight of 63 g, the tracker is built for installations where space is limited around the vehicle battery.
Internal high-gain GNSS and GSM antennas reduce the need for separate antenna installation, while the Micro-SIM slot, Micro-USB interface, two status LEDs, and 128 MB internal flash memory support practical deployment and maintenance. The device operates from a 10–30 V DC input with overvoltage protection and includes a 170 mAh Li-Ion backup battery. Operating and storage temperature specifications without the battery cover a wide range, while the stated humidity range and battery temperature limits help define the conditions in which the tracker can be deployed and maintained.
Vehicle Event Monitoring
The FMT100 combines GSM/GPRS communication with GNSS positioning and Bluetooth® LE connectivity to support vehicle tracking, event reporting, and wireless accessory integration. Its GNSS system supports GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, SBAS, QZSS, DGPS, and AGPS, helping the tracker determine vehicle position across different operating conditions. Position and velocity accuracy values, together with hot, warm, and cold start performance, support consistent monitoring when the vehicle is moving, parked, or restarted after different power and signal conditions. GSM communication works on quad-band 2G networks and supports GPRS data transfer, SMS in TEXT and PDU formats, and network protocols including TCP, UDP, TLS, and MQTT.
This allows the tracker to send data and receive configuration or debugging commands through supported communication channels. GPS, NITZ, and NTP time synchronization help align device data with accurate timing sources. Bluetooth® 4.0 + LE enables wireless connection of external accessories. Supported peripherals include temperature and humidity sensors, a headset, an OBDII dongle, an Inateck barcode scanner, and universal Bluetooth® LE sensors. The built-in accelerometer supports crash detection and contributes to scenarios such as Green Driving, over-speeding detection, excessive idling, unplug detection, towing detection, geofencing, trip detection, and jamming detection. Configuration and firmware updates can be performed through FOTA Web, FOTA, Teltonika Configurator, USB, or Bluetooth® wireless technology.
