Teltonika FMB965

Teltonika FMB965 is a water-resistant GPS tracker designed for vehicles and assets where protection, installation flexibility, and long operating autonomy are important. Its IP67 casing provides reliable protection against dust and water, making it suitable for applications such as motorbikes, SUVs, boats, jet skis, snowmobiles, and trailers. The device is built as an easily fitted smart tracker with internal high-gain GNSS and GSM antennas, helping simplify installation by keeping core positioning and communication components inside the unit. With dimensions of 79 x 43 x 22 mm, or 89 x 43 x 22 mm when measured with the connector socket, and a weight of 74 g, the tracker remains compact enough for vehicle and asset installations where available space may be limited.

The device uses GSM/GPRS/GNSS/Bluetooth® LE technology and supports GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, SBAS, QZSS, DGPS, and AGPS for location tracking. A 33-channel GNSS receiver, fast start times, and stated position accuracy of under 2.5 CEP support dependable positioning for day-to-day telematics use. Cellular communication is based on GSM with quad-band 2G support, GPRS data transfer, and SMS text/data communication, enabling the tracker to transmit information and receive supported commands through the available communication channels.

FMB965 combines a large internal backup battery, low-power operation, and practical vehicle monitoring functions for telematics scenarios where continuous device availability matters. The tracker operates from a 10–30 V DC input with overvoltage protection and includes a 1200 mAh Li-Ion backup battery, helping enhance device autonomy and reduce reliance on the vehicle battery. Its power off sleep mode allows the module to power down in sleep mode, reducing consumption to less than 1 mA when this operating state is used. Vehicle status and control functions are supported through one digital input and two digital outputs, enabling use cases such as ignition detection, output control, and event-based fleet actions.

An integrated accelerometer supports scenarios including Green Driving, over-speeding detection, unplug detection, towing detection, crash detection, excessive idling detection, Auto Geofence, Manual Geofence, and trip monitoring. The device also supports jamming detection, GNSS fuel counter, DOUT control via call, and fuel monitoring through an OBDII dongle. Bluetooth® 4.0 + LE extends the tracker with compatible external devices, including EYE beacons and sensors, headsets, OBDII dongles, Inateck barcode scanners, and universal Bluetooth® LE beacons and sensors. Configuration and firmware updates can be handled through FOTA Web, FOTA, Teltonika Configurator via USB or Bluetooth® wireless technology, and the FMBT mobile application.
