The Teltonika RUT301 is engineered for stable and reliable Ethernet networking, offering one 10/100 Mbps WAN port and four 10/100 Mbps LAN ports with full IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, and 802.3az compliance. Auto MDI/MDIX support ensures simple and error-free cable connections. This router supports both static and dynamic routing protocols including BGP, OSPF v2, RIP v1/v2, EIGRP, and NHRP, along with policy-based routing for flexible network management. A broad set of communication protocols is included, such as TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, ICMP, NTP, DNS, HTTP/S, FTP, SMTP, SSL/TLS, ARP, VRRP, PPP, PPPoE, UPnP, SSH, DHCP, Telnet, SMPP, SNMP, MQTT, Wake-on-LAN, and VXLAN. The RUT301 also supports VoIP passthrough via H.323 and SIP-ALG NAT helpers. Connection monitoring functions like Ping Reboot, Wget Reboot, periodic reboots, LCP, and ICMP checks ensure uptime, making this a dependable networking solution for industrial and commercial environments.

Security and flexibility are built into the RUT301. It features a configurable firewall with options for port forwarding, custom traffic rules, and TTL adjustments, helping protect the network while enabling precise control over data flow. A dedicated firewall status interface displays active rules and counters for easy monitoring. Network ports can be individually enabled or disabled, set to auto-configure, or locked to specific transmission speeds, providing control over traffic and resource allocation. Advanced features include support for more than 25 Dynamic DNS providers, DNS-over-HTTPS proxy for secure name resolution, and VRRP for redundancy. The RUT301 supports wired failover and load balancing, ensuring continuous connectivity. Quality of Service (QoS) and Smart Queue Management (SQM) optimize bandwidth usage, while DHCP functions include relay, server mode, and static leases with MAC wildcards. The RUT301 features a MediaTek 580 MHz MIPS 24KEc CPU, 128 MB DDR2 RAM, and 16 MB serial NOR flash for smooth performance. Power input is via a rugged 4-pin industrial DC socket (9–30 VDC) with reverse-polarity and surge protection, and passive PoE is supported for flexible installation. The router provides five RJ45 Ethernet ports, two configurable digital I/O pins, a USB-A 2.0 port, LED indicators, and a reset button. Its lightweight and durable aluminium housing ensures long-lasting durability. Designed for harsh environments, it operates reliably in temperatures from -40 °C to 75 °C, with 10–90 % non-condensing humidity tolerance. The IP30 ingress protection rating and sturdy construction make it suitable for industrial cabinets, workshops, or other demanding locations.
