Teltonika LV-CAN200

The LV-CAN200 is a CAN adapter designed to acquire data from light vehicles, vans, trucks, buses, and coaches. It connects to the vehicle’s on-board systems to read basic operational parameters that can be useful for fleet monitoring, vehicle activity analysis, and transport management. Supported use cases include light vehicles and heavy-duty transport, making the adapter suitable for mixed fleets where different vehicle types may need to provide comparable vehicle data. The adapter can retrieve information such as vehicle mileage, fuel level, fuel consumption, engine speed, coolant temperature, and vehicle speed. These parameters help provide a clearer view of vehicle operation without relying only on location data from a tracking terminal.

Fuel-related values can support fuel usage monitoring, while mileage and speed data help describe how the vehicle is being used. Engine-related parameters, such as RPM and temperature, add further context about vehicle operation. The number of available parameters depends on the vehicle model, year, and equipment, so the exact data set may vary between vehicles. This makes the LV-CAN200 especially relevant in installations where access to supported CAN data is needed, but where vehicle compatibility and available parameters must be considered during deployment.

The LV-CAN200 is intended for use with multiple Teltonika tracker series, including FMB1YX, FMU1YX, FMC1YX, FMM1YX, FM36YX, FM63YX, FMB64X, FMC64X, and FMM64X devices. This compatibility allows the adapter to extend supported tracking solutions with vehicle CAN data reading, helping the connected tracker receive more detailed information from the vehicle’s on-board computer. The device is compact, measuring 41 x 33 x 14.5 mm, and weighs 55 g, making it easy to accommodate in vehicle installations where available space may be limited. It operates from a 9–63 V DC input range, which supports use across different vehicle electrical environments listed for the adapter.

Low power consumption in standby and working modes helps the module remain practical for continuous vehicle data acquisition. A single status LED provides basic visual indication during operation, while the main socket and switch support the adapter’s physical connection and setup. The LV-CAN200 is designed to operate in temperatures from -40°C to +85°C and in non-condensing humidity up to 85%, supporting use in a broad range of vehicle environments. Supported vehicle features also include door status, accelerator pedal position, CNG level, total CNG consumption, and whether the engine is working on CNG.
