RG214/U is a high-quality MIL-standard 50 Ohm coaxial cable designed for demanding RF and communication applications. Its robust construction and excellent RF performance provide reliable signal transmission with effective shielding and consistent electrical characteristics.

How is the RG214U low loss figures achieved?
This is achieved due to the cable construction specifications. The center conductor uses a high conductivity, Stranded Bare Copper Silver Plated conductor material. The dielectric is PE (Polyethylene) which helps achieve 66% Velocity of Propagation. The Dielectric has a double Silvered Copper outer conductor. Due to the cable construction, the attenuation is significantly lower as compared to single shielded coaxial cables: RF shielding of RG214U is > 78 dB as compared to 40 dB for RG8.
Outer Sheath
RG214U coaxial cable comes with a UV resistant, flexible PVC Jacket. This helps the cable to bend with much less force than the cables with PE or LSZH Jacket.
Frequency Operating Band
RG214U is designed to operate excellent from DC up to 6GHz. For any frequency band at VHF and above, RG214U series is the obvious choice.
