The Teltonika FTC880 is a next-generation battery-mounted vehicle GPS tracker offering 4G LTE Cat 1 connectivity with fallback to 2G, designed for harsh environments and high-accuracy tracking. Built with an IP69K-rated casing, it resists dust, high-pressure water and steam for ultimate durability in vehicles, heavy machinery or external asset applications. Internally, the device supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou satellite systems and features a robust receiver capable of tracking up to 41 visible satellites, delivering position accuracy of under 1.8 m CEP and velocity accuracy better than 0.1 m/s. On the cellular side, the tracker uses LTE FDD Cat 1 on bands B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28 (EU version) with maximum data speeds of up to 10 Mbps downlink and 5 Mbps uplink, along with legacy GSM/GPRS support for global coverage. With hot-start GNSS performance in less than 1 second and high sensitivity down to –165 dBm, the FTC880 ensures reliable positioning even under challenging signal conditions.
Designed for efficiency and real-world deployment, the FTC880 operates on a 10-30 V DC input compatible with vehicle batteries, and includes a 320 mAh Li-Ion internal backup to maintain functionality during power loss. Power consumption is optimized with tailored sleep modes, including Online Deep Sleep, Deep Sleep and Power Off Sleep, limiting current draw to as little as 0.601 mA in low-power mode to preserve vehicle battery. Configuration and remote firmware updates can be executed via Teltonika Configuration Tool (USB/Bluetooth) or FOTA Web. Additional features include an accelerometer for crash, towing, unplug, and excessive idling detection, high-gain internal GNSS and cellular antennas eliminating external wiring, nano-SIM slot, USB-Type C interface, 128 MB internal flash memory, and two status LEDs for diagnostics.
