Ubiquiti UFiber WiFi GPON ONU with Dual-Band Wi‑Fi and 4 Gigabit Ports

The Ubiquiti UFiber WiFi, identified by the model manufacture part number UF-WiFi, stands out as an all-in-one Optical Network Unit (ONU) integrated with a Wi-Fi router, designed to deliver high-speed internet connectivity and advanced wireless access within a single device. This product is tailored specifically for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) applications, combining the efficiency of GPON technology with comprehensive wireless connectivity options for residential and small business users.

Operating under ITU-T G.984 standards, the UFiber WiFi acts as an ONU within a GPON system, supporting high-speed optical networks with downstream capabilities of up to 2.488 Gbps and upstream of 1.244 Gbps. It utilizes a GPON port with transmission (TX) wavelength of 1310 nm and reception (RX) wavelength of 1490 nm, facilitating efficient data transmission over a physical reach of up to 20 km. The integrated dual-band Wi-Fi router supports 802.11 b/g/n standards, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of wireless devices. The device delivers a maximum Wi-Fi transmission rate of 300 Mbps utilizing 2x2 MIMO technology to optimize network throughput and signal quality.

Enclosed in a durable, UV-stabilized polycarbonate housing, the device includes one SC/APC GPON WAN port and four Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 LAN ports for wired connectivity. Its design ensures it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations due to its robust build. The UFiber WiFi is powered by a universal AC/DC adapter, supporting a voltage range from 10–30V DC for passive PoE and 5V DC for the adapter, with a maximum power consumption of 7W. It is engineered to operate within an ambient temperature range of -10 to 45°C (14 to 113°F) and a humidity range of 10 to 90% non-condensing. Furthermore, the device meets multiple certifications, including CE, FCC, and IC, which underscore its compliance with international standards.

Up to 128 UFiber WiFi devices can be connected to a single GPON port. Supporting GPON links of up to 20 km and integrates with the UFiber OLT. The UFiber WiFi can be managed via an Ethernet In-Band interface. Integration with the UISP Mobile App enhances the user experience, providing mobile management capabilities that allow for efficient setup, monitoring, and adjustment of network settings on-the-go.
