The UNVR-G2-Pro is a 2U rack-mount UniFi console designed to manage video surveillance, access control, and connected UniFi services from one hardware platform. It supports UniFi Protect, UniFi Access, and UniFi Connect, allowing the same device to serve different parts of a UniFi deployment without presenting them as separate product categories. For camera management, it is specified for up to 100 HD cameras, 70 2K cameras, or 50 4K cameras, so the supported camera count depends on the video resolution used in the installation.

The unit also supports more than 150 managed access hubs and includes door access support, making it suitable for deployments where access devices are managed alongside cameras. Data protection is included as a product capability, supporting the device’s role as a recording and management platform. Software compatibility is defined through application version requirements: UniFi Protect must be version 7.1.55 or later, while UniFi Access must be version 4.2.16 or later. These requirements help ensure that the connected software environment matches the supported hardware platform.

The storage system is built around eight drive bays that support both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch HDD or SSD drives. This gives the device a defined internal storage structure for installations that require multiple drives in a single rack-mounted unit. A separate drive power budget of 155 W is assigned to the installed storage media, while the total maximum power consumption of the device is 200 W. Power is supplied by an internal 200 W AC/DC power supply. The unit accepts universal AC input from 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, with a maximum input current of 3 A, and also includes an 11.5 V DC USP-RPS input.

Power redundancy is supported, which is relevant for installations where an additional power input is part of the deployment design. These characteristics define the relationship between storage capacity, drive support, and power delivery without requiring the user to interpret separate hardware limits. The enclosure and mount are made from SGCC steel, providing a defined physical construction for rack-based placement. Network connectivity is handled through one 10G SFP+ port and one 2.5 GbE RJ45 port, giving the unit two distinct network interface types. Management access is supported through Ethernet and Bluetooth.

Status visibility is provided through LEDs for Ethernet, SFP+, HDD, RPS, and system operation, helping users identify the state of key hardware areas directly from the unit. The device is designed for ambient operating temperatures from 0 to 40° C and relative humidity from 5 to 95% in noncondensing conditions. It is marked as NDAA compliant and carries CE, FCC, and IC certifications. Together, these details define the installation profile of the product, including its rack format, physical materials, network connections, management methods, status indicators, operating environment, and stated compliance.
