Networked Audio Speaker
The Ubiquiti UP-AI-Speaker is a network-connected mono speaker designed for installations where audio output needs to be integrated into an Ethernet-based infrastructure. It connects through a 10/100 MbE RJ45 port and is powered by PoE++, allowing both network connectivity and power delivery through a single cable. This simplifies deployment in fixed locations because no separate local power adapter is required at the speaker position. With a maximum power consumption of 33W, the speaker is designed for PoE++ power environments where sufficient power budget is available.
The speaker uses a 3" full-range driver and delivers mono sound, making it suitable for applications where clear single-channel audio output is required. Its frequency range of 150 Hz to 20 kHz supports a broad audio spectrum for voice and general sound playback. A nominal impedance of 4 Ohms, sensitivity of 87 dB at 1W/1m, and maximum SPL of 100 dB at 1 m describe the speaker’s electrical and acoustic behavior, helping installers understand how it performs in planned audio coverage areas. The 90° axisymmetric nominal coverage helps distribute sound in a defined area, supporting consistent placement planning when the speaker is mounted in fixed indoor positions.
Flexible Mounting
The UP-AI-Speaker is built for structured installation with surface mounting as the default option and flush mounting available as an optional installation method. This gives installers flexibility to choose between a visible mounted setup and a more integrated appearance, depending on the room design and installation requirements. The installation size is 84.7 mm, which is useful when planning the mounting position and preparing the required opening for flush-mounted deployment. The speaker measures 268.5 × 192 × 83.5 mm and weighs 1.6 kg, giving it a solid physical presence while remaining suitable for fixed wall or surface installations.
Its enclosure is made from polycarbonate, while the mounting structure combines polycarbonate with a metal plate. This material combination supports a practical installation design without adding unnecessary complexity to the product. The device includes LEDs for local status visibility and a factory reset button for maintenance or recovery when required. It is designed to operate in ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C and in 10 to 90% noncondensing humidity, making it suitable for controlled indoor environments. The product is NDAA compliant and carries FCC, IC, and CE certifications, supporting use in installations where these compliance requirements are relevant.
