Teltonika FTC164 Waterproof 4G LTE Cat 1 GPS Tracker with GNSS, Bluetooth LE and IP69K

The Teltonika FTC164 is a waterproof 4G LTE Cat 1 tracker for trailer security and tracking, construction vehicle applications, agricultural transport, cold-chain monitoring, and water transport monitoring. It combines LTE Cat 1, GSM/GPRS, GNSS, and Bluetooth LE in a single device for cellular communication, satellite positioning, and connection to external wireless sensors. Its GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BEIDOU with 135 tracking and acquisition channels. Position accuracy is specified at under 1.8 m CEP, with a hot start in under one second and a warm start in under 25 seconds. Internal high-gain GNSS and cellular antennas keep the main positioning and communication functions integrated into the tracker.

Cellular communication uses LTE FDD Cat 1 and GSM, with two regional variants supporting different LTE band sets. LTE Cat 1 provides data rates up to 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload, while GSM/GPRS remains available for lower-speed data transmission. The device supports SMS in TEXT and PDU formats together with TCP and UDP network protocols. Bluetooth 5.4 LE extends the tracker with wireless connectivity for external devices and is presented for stable, reliable coverage for precise sensor detection. This makes Bluetooth-connected sensing part of the supported monitoring setup without adding a separate wired interface for every sensor. Together, cellular, GNSS, and Bluetooth functions support the tracking scenarios listed for the product.

FTC164 provides five digital inputs, one negative input, four digital outputs, five analog inputs, and one 1-Wire interface for connecting vehicle or equipment signals and peripherals. Ignition status can be detected through Digital Input 1, the accelerometer, or external power voltage. The built-in accelerometer supports Eco Driving, Over Speeding, Idling Detection, Immobilizer, Unplug Detection, Jamming Detection, Crash Detection, Dallas Sensor Support, and Towing Detection. USB 2.0 USB Type-C is available for connection, while the tracker also includes two status LEDs, a Nano-SIM slot, and 128 MB of internal flash memory. These interfaces give installers several supported options for integrating the device with monitored assets and related signals.

The tracker accepts an 8-32 V DC input and includes a 2,600 mAh Li-Ion backup battery. Online Deep Sleep, Deep Sleep, and Power Off Sleep modes are intended to extend operating time and reduce vehicle battery drainage. Configuration and firmware updates are supported through FOTA WEB and Telematics Configuration Tool (TCT), while SMS and GPRS commands provide configuration, DOUT control, and debugging. Time can be synchronized through GNSS, NTP, or NITZ. The enclosure measures 87.75 x 106.40 x 29.70 mm and carries an IP69K ingress protection rating against dust, high-pressure water, and steam. Without the battery, the operating range is -30 °C to +85 °C; with the battery, it is -20 °C to +60 °C. Operating humidity is 5% to 95% non-condensing.
