Teltonika FTC134 4G LTE Cat 1 GPS Asset Tracker with Bluetooth LE

The Teltonika FTC134 is a 4G LTE Cat 1 GPS tracker built for applications such as trailer security and tracking, last-mile delivery services, international logistics, industrial machinery, and electric vehicle management. It combines LTE Cat 1, GSM/GPRS, GNSS, and Bluetooth LE in a compact unit, giving the tracker both cellular communication and satellite positioning capabilities. Its GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and BEIDOU with 135 tracking and acquisition channels. Position accuracy is specified at under 1.5 m CEP, while hot start takes under one second and warm start under 25 seconds. Up to 41 visible satellites contribute to higher tracking quality for location-based services.

Cellular connectivity is provided through LTE FDD Cat 1 and GSM, with different regional variants covering different LTE band sets. LTE Cat 1 supports data rates up to 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload, while GSM/GPRS remains available for lower-speed communication. Data exchange is supported through SMS in TEXT and PDU formats and through TCP and UDP network protocols. Bluetooth 5.4 LE extends the tracker with wireless connectivity for external Low Energy beacons and sensors. These devices can be used to monitor temperature, humidity, magnet detection, and movement, adding environmental and status information to tracking scenarios. Internal high-gain GNSS and cellular antennas keep the primary positioning and communication functions integrated into the device.

FTC134 provides a flexible interface set for different installation scenarios. It includes four digital inputs, one negative input, three digital outputs, four analog inputs, one 1-Wire interface, and CAN support. The pinouts are software-defined and configurable, so individual pins can be assigned according to the application, including temperature monitoring, ignition detection, or door sensors. Ignition can be detected through Digital Input 1, the accelerometer, or external power voltage. The integrated accelerometer supports Eco Driving, Over Speeding, Idling Detection, Immobilizer, Unplug Detection, Jamming Detection, Crash Detection, Dallas Sensor Support, and Towing Detection. USB 2.0 USB Type-C, Nano-SIM support, and 128 MB of internal flash memory complete the service interfaces.

The tracker accepts an 8-32 V DC input and includes a 320 mAh Li-Ion backup battery. Online Deep Sleep, Deep Sleep, and Power Off Sleep modes help extend autonomous operation and reduce vehicle battery drainage when full activity is unnecessary. Configuration and firmware updates are supported through FOTA WEB and Telematics Configuration Tool (TCT), while SMS and GPRS commands provide configuration, DOUT control, and debugging. Time synchronization is available through GNSS, NITZ, and NTP. The enclosure measures 77 x 63 x 21.25 mm and has an IP41 ingress protection rating. Without the battery, the operating temperature range is -30 °C to +85 °C; with the battery, it is -20 °C to +60 °C. Operating humidity is specified at 65 ± 20% non-condensing.
