Vehicle Tracking
Teltonika FMM920 is a small GPS tracker designed for basic track-and-trace and fleet management applications where compact installation and modern cellular connectivity are important. The device combines LTE Cat M1, NB-IoT, GSM, GPRS, GNSS, and Bluetooth® LE technologies in a 79 x 43 x 12 mm housing weighing 54 g, making it suitable for light vehicles, motorbikes, insurance telematics, rental and leasing fleets, and courier delivery services. Its internal high-gain GNSS and GSM antennas help keep the installation simple by placing the main positioning and communication elements inside the unit. The tracker supports GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU and assisted positioning systems, allowing it to determine location using multiple satellite sources.
A 33-channel receiver, fast hot start, and accuracy of under 3 m support reliable location reporting for everyday vehicle monitoring. Cellular communication is based on LTE Cat M1 and NB-IoT, with GSM fallback for supported 2G operation. This gives the tracker a communication platform intended for reliable 4G Cat M1 connectivity while still retaining GSM network support. The device also supports SMS text and data communication, allowing supported configuration, event, DOUT control, and debugging functions to be handled through messaging when needed.
Monitoring And Control
FMM920 extends basic location reporting with vehicle monitoring, control, and accessory integration functions. A digital input can be used for ignition, door, or alarm button status monitoring, while the digital output supports remote immobilization scenarios when connected for that purpose. The analog input expands possible use cases by enabling monitoring of values such as temperature, humidity, or liquid level. An integrated accelerometer supports event-based scenarios including Green Driving, over-speeding detection, towing detection, crash detection, excessive idling detection, unplug detection, Auto Geofence, Manual Geofence, and trip functions. Jamming detection adds an anti-theft-related function intended to support stolen vehicle recovery scenarios.
The tracker also supports GNSS fuel counter, DOUT control via call, and ignition detection using Digital Input 1, accelerometer data, external power voltage, or engine RPM through an OBDII dongle. Bluetooth® 4.0 + LE allows the device to work with compatible external equipment, including EYE beacons and sensors, OBDII dongles, Inateck barcode scanners, and universal Bluetooth® LE beacons and sensors. The 170 mAh Li-Ion backup battery allows operation without an external power source, while multiple sleep modes help reduce power consumption. Configuration and firmware updates can be managed through FOTA Web, FOTA, and Teltonika Configurator via USB or Bluetooth® wireless technology.
