Tedee SLR Cylinder – High-Security Modular Cylinder for Tedee Smart Lock

The Tedee Gerda SLR Cylinder Type C is a modular Euro-profile cylinder designed for integration with the Tedee PRO smart lock. Manufactured by Gerda, it combines a traditional mechanical locking mechanism with a construction adapted for smart lock installation. The cylinder features a cam mechanism and allows the door to be operated with a conventional key from the outside while the Tedee smart lock is mounted on the inside. The Gerda SLR cylinder is rated Security Class 6 under the PN-EN 1303:2015-07 standard, providing a documented level of mechanical security. Its construction makes it suitable for replacing a conventional Euro-profile cylinder in compatible doors. Before installation, the existing lock mechanism and cylinder dimensions should be checked to ensure a correct fit.

The Type C cylinder features an adjustable modular construction that allows both the internal and external sections to be configured according to the door's dimensions. The internal section, intended for the Tedee smart lock, supports lengths from 30 to 61 mm, while the external key-operated section can be adjusted from 37 to 68 mm. This flexibility makes the cylinder suitable for different door thicknesses and hardware arrangements. The modular system uses interchangeable components to achieve the required length configuration. Rather than replacing the entire cylinder when different dimensions are needed, the appropriate modules can be assembled to match the installation. The available length combinations should be checked against the manufacturer's sizing guide before selecting and assembling the cylinder.

The Gerda SLR Type C is designed to work with the Tedee PRO smart lock, providing the mechanical connection required for motorized locking and unlocking. Once installed, the smart lock operates the cylinder from the interior side of the door, while the exterior keyhole remains available for conventional key operation. This arrangement combines the functionality of a smart locking system with familiar mechanical access. The cylinder can be installed in compatible Euro-profile door locks with cam-operated mechanisms. Its adjustable construction helps position the cylinder correctly relative to the door hardware and the Tedee smart lock. The cylinder itself is a mechanical component; electronic access functions are provided by the compatible smart lock, which is purchased separately.
