Tedee Gerda SLR Cylinder Type A 30–61/30 mm for Tedee PRO Smart Lock

The Tedee Gerda SLR Cylinder Type A is a modular Euro-profile cylinder designed for use with the Tedee PRO smart lock. Manufactured by Gerda, it provides a mechanical locking solution that supports the installation of a smart lock on compatible doors. The cylinder uses a traditional cam mechanism and retains conventional key operation from the outside, while the internal section is designed to accommodate the Tedee smart lock. The Gerda SLR cylinder is rated Security Class 6 according to PN-EN 1303:2015-07, providing a documented level of mechanical security. Its Euro-profile construction allows it to replace a conventional cylinder in compatible door locks. The Type A configuration is particularly suitable for installations where a fixed external cylinder length of 30 mm matches the existing door hardware.

The Type A cylinder combines a fixed external section of 30 mm with an adjustable internal section ranging from 30 to 61 mm. This configuration allows the length on the smart lock side to be adapted to the door while maintaining the same external dimension. The modular construction provides several predefined internal length settings, allowing the cylinder to accommodate different installation requirements. The internal section can be configured in lengths of 30, 36, 40, 45, 46, 51, 55, or 61 mm using the appropriate modular components. Unlike the Type C version, the external section is not adjustable. Therefore, the 30 mm external dimension must be suitable for the door before installation. Measuring the existing cylinder helps determine the correct internal length and ensures that the selected configuration matches the door hardware.

The Gerda SLR Type A is designed for integration with the Tedee PRO smart lock. The cylinder provides the mechanical connection that allows the smart lock to operate the door from the interior side, while a conventional key can still be used from the outside. This makes it possible to combine electronic locking functions with a traditional mechanical key-operated cylinder. The modular design allows the internal cylinder length to be adapted before installing the Tedee PRO smart lock. The cylinder is intended for compatible Euro-profile locks using a cam mechanism, and its dimensions should be verified before replacing existing hardware. As a mechanical component, it does not provide electronic locking functions independently; these functions are handled by the separately available Tedee smart lock.
