The APOE01 is a passive PoE injector that combines power and Ethernet data through RJ45 input and output connectors. Its role is to carry the incoming data path through the injector while adding power on the output side according to the documented pin assignment. The transmit and receive pairs remain on pins 1, 2, 3, and 6, while pins 4 and 5 carry +48 V on the output and pins 7 and 8 provide ground. Because the input and output share a common ground, the electrical connection arrangement is defined consistently across the device. This makes the pin mapping important when matching the injector to equipment that uses the same passive PoE connection scheme.
The injector uses separate RJ45 connectors for input and output, so the network connection passes through the unit as power is introduced onto the output connector. On the input side, pins 4 and 5 are not connected, while the corresponding output pins carry +48 V; pins 7 and 8 are ground on both sides. This separates the documented power conductors from the data pairs and shows how the device combines the two functions within one Ethernet connection. For deployment planning, the APOE01 is specified for operation from -30 to 60 °C and for storage from -40 to 70 °C. These temperature ranges define the environmental limits stated for use and storage without introducing additional installation assumptions.
