AI PTZ Industrial is an industrial-grade 4K PoE++ PTZ camera designed around a motorized imaging system, extended optical reach, and integrated AI capabilities. Its 8 MP 1/1.8-inch sensor produces 3840 × 2160 video at up to 30 FPS, while the 22x optical zoom allows the camera to move from a 59.8° horizontal wide view to a focused 3° horizontal telephoto view. This combination gives the camera substantial control over how much of a scene is captured without relying on a fixed viewing angle. The lens covers a 6.36–138.5 mm focal range, supporting the transition between broad observation and detailed telephoto imaging within the same camera system.

The PTZ mechanism complements this optical range with endless 360° pan and a 120° tilt range, allowing the viewing direction to be repositioned as required. Image controls include color, brightness, sharpness, contrast, white balance, and exposure adjustment, alongside 2DNR, 3DNR, and noise reduction by motion. Masking and text overlay are also available for configuring the resulting video image. Together, the adjustable optics, PTZ movement, and image controls make the camera more than a fixed 4K viewing device: its field of view can be physically redirected and optically narrowed while image parameters remain configurable for the scene being observed.

AI PTZ Industrial combines its motorized camera platform with smart detections for people, vehicles, and animals, as well as face recognition and license plate recognition. These capabilities provide several distinct forms of AI-assisted identification and detection within the same camera rather than limiting analysis to a single object category. Because they operate alongside the camera’s PTZ and optical zoom functions, the AI capabilities form part of a system that can both change its viewing direction and adjust optical magnification. Management is provided through UniFi Protect, placing the camera within the UniFi Application Suite for Protect.

Observation continues after dark through built-in IR LED illumination and an IR cut filter. The camera provides IR night vision at distances up to 100 m, while the additional product information specifies long-range adaptive IR LED night vision. This gives the camera a dedicated infrared mode rather than depending only on its normal daytime imaging path when visible light is insufficient. The combination of long-range IR illumination, 22x optical zoom, PTZ movement, and AI capabilities brings the camera’s principal monitoring functions into one integrated platform: optical framing can be changed across a wide zoom range, the camera can reposition its view, and supported detection and recognition functions can be applied within the same system. These capabilities are complemented by the configurable image controls, allowing the captured picture to be adjusted separately from the camera’s physical viewing direction and optical magnification.

The camera is built for deployment where both environmental protection and mounting choice matter. Its IP66 weatherproofing is paired with an ambient operating temperature range of −40 to 50 °C, supporting operation across the environmental conditions specified for the unit. Wall mounting, pole mounting, and a desk stand are supported, with the mounting options included. This gives installers multiple documented ways to position the same PTZ camera while retaining access to its endless pan and 120° tilt movement. The enclosure uses aluminum alloy and polycarbonate, while the mounting hardware is made from powder-coated aluminum alloy.

Network connectivity and power are handled through a GbE RJ45 interface and PoE++, allowing the camera to receive its specified power through its Ethernet-based installation. Maximum power consumption is 51 W, with a supported voltage range of 42.5–57 V DC, making PoE++ compatibility an important consideration when planning the connection. A MicroSD card expansion slot is also integrated into the hardware. For compliance and certification requirements, AI PTZ Industrial is NDAA compliant and carries CE, FCC, and IC certifications. These deployment-oriented features complete the camera’s imaging and AI functions with the physical, network, and power provisions required to install and operate it as a connected UniFi Protect camera.
