The Jirous JRMC-680-10/11 is a parabolic antenna for microwave links in the 10 and 11 GHz bands, covering a frequency range of 10.0–12.0 GHz. Its deep reflector dish is designed around precise directional operation and complies with ETSI Class 3 requirements. Gain reaches 34.1 ± 1 dBi at the lower end of the range and 36.0 ± 1 dBi at the higher end, while the 3° ± 0.5° beamwidth concentrates transmission into a clearly defined direction. A front-to-back ratio of at least 61 dB further characterizes the antenna’s directional behavior by indicating strong separation between the main radiation direction and the rear side. Together, these RF characteristics make the reflector geometry and controlled radiation pattern central to the antenna’s role in point-to-point microwave links.

Linear polarization can be configured vertically or horizontally, allowing the installation to match the polarization required by the radio link. The RF interface uses a circular waveguide with a 19 mm diameter, while return loss is specified at a minimum of 18 dB across 10.3–11.7 GHz. Electrical compliance includes US FCC Part 101A for 10.550–10.680 GHz, US FCC Part 101B for 10.7–11.7 GHz, and Class 3 ETSI EN 302-217-4-2. These characteristics define a directional antenna intended for regulated microwave deployments where accurate alignment and controlled RF behavior are essential parts of the link.

Installation is organized around the supplied holder, which can be mounted separately on the mast before the antenna itself is attached. Once the holder is secured, the antenna together with the microwave unit can be hung into the assembly and fixed with two screws. This sequence separates mast preparation from final antenna placement, making the mounting process easier to manage. The holder is suitable for mast diameters from 40 to 120 mm and supports installation on either the right or left side. Fine adjustment is available in both elevation and azimuth within ±20°, giving the installer precise control over the final antenna orientation after the main mounting work has been completed.

That adjustment capability is particularly relevant to an antenna with a 3° ± 0.5° beamwidth, where accurate positioning is an integral part of setting the intended link direction. The antenna is specified for an operating wind load of 180 km/h and a survival wind load of 240 km/h, while the design is described as offering extreme wind stability. In locations where strong winds are expected, installation on a mast with a minimum diameter of 50 mm is recommended. The deep aluminium-alloy reflector, substantial mounting structure, and UV-stable ABS radome form the mechanical assembly around these outdoor installation requirements, combining controlled alignment with a structure intended for exposed mast-mounted operation.
