Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM21 Aluminium Junction Box for Dome Cameras

The Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM21 is a junction box designed for dome camera installations, combining a dedicated mounting base with a waterproof construction and two cable-entry options. Made from aluminum alloy with a surface spray treatment and finished in Hikvision White, it supports both side and bottom cable entry. The bottom waterproof cover and the side gland nut are interchangeable, so the cable entry arrangement can be configured according to the direction from which the cable reaches the mounting point. This allows the same junction box to accommodate different cable-routing layouts while retaining its waterproof design. The enclosure measures 137 mm × 42 mm and weighs 280 g, dimensions that can be considered when preparing the mounting location.

The DS-1280ZJ-DM21 must be installed on a flat surface, with the supporting wall capable of carrying at least three times the combined weight of the camera and mounting bracket. The junction box has a maximum load capacity of 4.5 kg, making both the camera weight and the strength of the mounting surface important considerations during installation. For outdoor applications, waterproof rubber is required in addition to the junction box’s waterproof design.
