Designed to protect entrances in townhouses, private homes, offices, and apartments, it provides instant interaction with visitors while maintaining continuous visual control over the area. When someone approaches or rings the doorbell, users can immediately see and speak to the visitor through Ajax apps, with no noticeable delays. The device features a wide-angle HDR camera that delivers a clear and balanced image in challenging lighting conditions, ensuring reliable visibility day and night.

Built-in AI and a PIR sensor work together to detect movement and recognize people, animals, and vehicles. This intelligent approach improves detection accuracy and reduces unnecessary notifications. For visitors, DoorBell offers a touchless experience: couriers or guests don’t need to press the button to alert the homeowner. Ajax DoorBell is more than a smart gadget — it is a fully integrated security solution that enhances awareness, control, and peace of mind right at the front door.

Ajax DoorBell is engineered to remain operational even in challenging conditions. When connected to an Ajax hub, it becomes a full-fledged part of the Ajax security system, ensuring uninterrupted event reporting and system integrity. If the Wi-Fi connection is lost, the device does not stop functioning — it switches to a backup communication channel via the hub. DoorBell uses the secure Jeweller radio protocol to transmit events and alarms, while the Wings protocol ensures reliable photo and visual data delivery. Frequency hopping helps detect interference or jamming attempts, maintaining stable communication over long distances.

A built-in tamper button immediately notifies users and monitoring centers if the device is being dismantled. Power outages do not compromise security either. The built-in backup battery keeps the device running for up to one hour, while automatic battery heating at low temperatures helps maintain stable performance and prolong battery life. This resilient design ensures that Ajax DoorBell continues to guard the entrance and keep users informed at all times.

Ajax DoorBell is equipped with a 4 MP CMOS camera delivering video resolution up to 2688 × 1520 px, supported by HDR for improved contrast. The camera offers wide viewing angles of 155° horizontally and 90° vertically, providing comprehensive coverage of the entrance area. Video streaming is powered by JetSparrow, Ajax Systems’ fast and encrypted peer-to-peer protocol, with video encoded in H.264. Storage options include NVR and Ajax Cloud Storage. The device supports two-way audio communication with noise suppression, echo cancellation, and G.722 audio codec for clear voice transmission.

Motion detection is handled by a built-in PIR sensor with adjustable sensitivity, detecting movement up to 4 meters. Smart IR illumination enables visibility at night up to 6 meters. DoorBell supports ONVIF Profile S and partially Profile T, visual alarm verification, and secure authentication via Ajax Cloud. It operates on 12–24 V DC or 16–24 V AC, features a 600 mAh backup battery, and is rated IP54 for outdoor use in temperatures from −25 °C to +60 °C. All data is securely stored in the European Union, ensuring strong privacy protection and compliance with European data regulations. Ajax DoorBell complies with NDAA regulations and has successfully passed independent cybersecurity testing, confirming its safety and reliability.
